The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Review: Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey, Neelam Kothari And Seema Khan Are Spicy, Saucy And Entertaining AF!
The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives- Netflix's latest presentation, based on the lives of Bollywood wives- Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey, Neelam Kothari And Seema Khan- released today and here's what we thought about it
Darren Star's Sex And The City comes to life in a desi version- well, that's what crossed my mind when I watched Netflix's latest web series, The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives starring Maheep Kapoor, Bahvna Pandey, Neelam Kothari and Seema Khan. Just like Sex And The City, I thourouly enjoyed the over the top drama in this 8-episodic series too.
Bollywood is an integral part of most of our lives and many of us just enjoy knowing what's happening in the lives of our stars, in those glam parties and get-togethers. The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives gives us a dose of just that entertainment. Based on the lives of these 4 Bollywood ladies, the web series is sprinkled with numerous cameos of other Bollywood stars like Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Gauri Khan too.
The series revolves around the lives of Maheep, Bhavna, Neelam and Seema and their 25-year-old friendship. Their gossip-filled lunches, trips, parties, children, husbands- it gives a peek-a-boo to all of that. It also brings forward the challenges they face being a celebrity wife, mother and at the same time balancing their identity as a businesswoman too. Also, the quarrels between these old friends will get your attention.
Amongst the 4 of them- my favourite would be Neelam and Maheep. There was something very genuine about both of them. Bhavna and Chunky Pandey's conversation over Ananya's Filmfare award was heart-touching as well. Seema Khan came across as a fun personality and left an impact too.
The look and feel of the series is A-class. All the ladies are wearing just too chic clothes and heels, and that's a major resemblance of Sex and the City. The outdoor shoot at Doha is beautiful and it will just set new #vacaygoals in your mind.
Overall, The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives is fun binge watch and if you have interest in Bollywood and its stories, then do give this a dekko. I'll go with 3 stars and say it's totally bingeworthy.
